We’re transporting supplies to refugees at the Poland-Ukraine border

We’re joining forces with The Parenting Network, Bridge to Unity, and Zintegrowana Służba Ratownicza to transport vital care packages to refugees at the Poland-Ukraine border.

On Friday 4th March 2022, myself (Mike) and Matt Foster from Portsmouth’s Parenting Networking will be loading the Solent Sky Services van with as many urgent supplies as we can and then joining non-profit organisation Bridge to Unity on their journey to Poland.

We’ll cross from Dover, bound for Frankfurt, where we’ll rendezvous with an org who are donating defibrillators to our supplies. Then we’ll head to Krakow to meet our contact from Zintegrowana Służba Ratownicza, who’ll escort us to Poland’s border with Ukraine.

If you’re able, you can either fund life-saving care items via Amazon here, or contribute to our fuel costs through JustGiving here.

It’s an incredible privilege to be able to do our part in this way. Our local community in Portsmouth and Southsea have already started throwing their support behind our humanitarian mission to deliver aid to refugees who have been forced to flee their homes to escape Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine.

We’ll be documenting as much of the journey as possible, uploading Stories to our Instagram along the way and following up with another blog post about the journey when we’re back.

At the time of writing, it’s barely been 24 hours since we first announced our plans across social media, but we’ve already been inundated with masses of donations and have connected with dozens of others making similar journeys.

Thank you to everyone for your support. We’ll have more to share soon.

Love from Mike, Sara, and the rest of the team.
